Rich and famous
Today I had a conversation about this everywhere excisting wish to become rich and famous.
Me personally I am not so sure about the part of being famous- it seems to be a lot of pressure and stress to me. In other words: I love leaving the house in my pyjamas to get milk from the supermarket without a bunch photographers following me round.
But I wouldn't mind having not to worry about money. Altough I know people say money also doesn't make you happy, but still- it enlightens life.
Anyways, there has been the idea in my head for weeks now to post songs about being rich and famous, there are endless songs- I made my personal choice.
Ich hatte heute eine Unterhaltung über den überall existierenden Wunsch reich und berühmt zu werden.
Für mich persönlich kann sagen, dass ich mir über den Part des Berühmt seins nicht so sicher bin - es scheint mir doch jede Menge Stress und Druck damit verbunden zu sein. In anderen Worten: Ich liebe es morgen im Pyjama mein Haus zu verlassen um Milch aus dem Supermarkt zu holen ohne dass mich ein Haufen Fotografen verfolgt.
Was auch immer, die Idee ein Posting für Songs, die vom Berühmt und Reich sein handeln, hatte ich ich schon ein paar Wochen im Kopf, die Auswahl ist endlos, hier ist meine Selektion.

Malaria. Geld/Money
Ok this one seems to be real shyte, but god damn I loved them as a kid.

Outfit of the day- my granddad's pair of braces
As my granddad died I collected a lot of memorabila from his apartment to save it- amongst it this lovely pair of braces.
After years now of watching out for the right person to get it and appreciates this little treasure I finally found one.
Dirk from Berlin, he's the perfect canditate- and he was so nice to send me this lovely image of his.
Nach dem Tod meines Großvaters habe ich all seine Erinnerungsstücke aus der Wohnung geholt und in Sicherheit gebracht- darunter auch dieses wunderbare Paar Hosenträger.
Jahrelang auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Träger, der diesen kleinen Schätz auch den nötigen Respekt entgegenbringt habe ich endlich jemanden gefunden.
Dirk aus Berlin ist der perfekte Kandidat - und er war auch so nett mir dieses tolle Foto zu schicken.

Outfit of the day - tartan vs tie dye
I adore elder ladies- don't ask me why.
I suppose it's their history, their realm of experience that surrounds them like an invisible curtain.
And their, sometimes, mouth opening styling decisions. I don't mean that in a bad way- seeing grans like this one simply makes me smile and feel good.
I had to capture her secretly as she brings on the brilliant combi of tartan and tie dye!!!
Ich bewundere ältere Damen- fragt mich nicht warum.
Ich nehme an es ist ihre Geschichte, ihre Erfahrungswelt, die sie umgibt wie ein unsichtbarer Vorhang. Und ihre Stylingentscheidungen, die, manchmal, meine Lippen nach unten klappen lassen. Das ist nicht böse gemeint, Omas wie diese zu sehen entlocken mir ein Lächeln und ich fühle mich gut.
Diese musste ich heimlich fotografieren, sie rockt den Schottenkaro vs. Batik Style einfach genial!

Yoga for Life
I stumbled upon this guy just a week before (obviously) his story was in a free daily "newspaper".
Basically he's a recovering alcohol addict that does a head stand all day long to prevent himself from sliding back into old drinking habbits.
Sad, but true.
Also: the coins he earns on doing that all day long, no matter what the weather is like, safes him from becoming homeless.
I saw him and envy him for his strength and will to fight the obstacles of life.
Eine Woche bevor Österreichs cheesy Gratiszeitung seine Geschichte erzählte stolperte ich über ihn.
Ein genesender Alkoholkranker, der den ganzen Tag am Kopf steht, in erster Linie um nicht wieder rückfällig zu werden.
Traurig, aber wahr.
Ausserdem verdient er so seine Tantiemen, tagaus, tagein, bei jedem Wetter- es bewahrt ihn davor obdachlos zu werden.
Ich sah ihn und bewundere seine Stärke und den Willen die Steine, die einem das Leben in den Weg legt, zu überwinden.

Blogger's closet sale
And another occasion that is taking place soon is the fleamarket of Vienna's fashion bloggers- during the last rainy days they all emptied their closets to give you the chance to grab a bargain.
The location will be the denim laboratory of Vienna's famous "Gebrüder Stitch", a combo that does the most incredible customized wet dream jeans. We're allowed to use their rooms to host this market and I am proud to be part of it.
As I was collecting vintage items since my teen-times and slowly but constantly run out of space and energy to keep them I say bye-bye to a lot of treasures.
So come and check it out.

Ein weiteres Highlight in Wiens Stadtleben wird der Bloggerflohmarkt- Wiens Modeblogger nützten das Schlechtwetter um ihre Kästen zu leeren und Euch die Chance zu geben ein paar Schnäppchen zu ergattern.
Stattfinden wird es im Hosenlabor der berühmten Gebrüder Stitch- unsere Kombo für unglaubliche Jeans-Maßschneiderei, die für feuchte Träume sorgt.
Da ich jahrzehntelang Vintage Kleidungsstücke gesammelt habe und schön langsam weder den Platz noch die Energie habe, diese Sammlung weiterzuführen trenne ich mich von einigen Schätzen.
