Long time ago I was asked if I want my work to be featured in a fashion book showing the 100 best contemporary fashion designers. Would I say no?
The Spanish edition of "Los 100 mejores diseñadores de moda contemporáneos" by Paz Diman is in my hands now and I am proud to say that my work has been featured along big designers such as Walter van der Beirendonck and Maison Martin Margiela.
This is somthing to be proud of. The work featuerd in that book is my series "A forest", where I play with the concept of camouflage. Nature is one of my main sources of inspiration, so I tried making it possible for a person to get invisible in the woods by wearing my items. And it worked.
There's no better way to express a bit of girlishness, that stayed within you after you already hit the 30's. So Pebelle's next project could be this skirt. Only with tie dyed hair- To show my "True Colours". t b c
I stumbled upon this a couple of days ago- no one really knows where this shoes come from. But one thing is clear: They are unique. A miniature Dinosaur that carries your weight and walks with you wherever you go? A dream.
Best comes in pairs with this Pebelle tie dye creation I once did. Now rocking the legs of a nice young lady, that was kind of enough to send me that snapshot.

Caleb Kylander is a singer/composer/guitarist from sunny San Diego, located in Yverdon. His band "The Jamborines" is on highest rotation whereever you go in Switzerland and plants sounds in your ear and heart, that you can't stop humming. Apart from that he's my muse and the best testmonial any fashion label can find.
Simon Winkelmüller is an apiring fashion stylist from Vienna, constantly working on editorials for various fashion magazines. And working with Pebelle dyes a lot! Watch out for him!
Dandi Wind will present us with some new work soon.
I am glad to pronounce that Pebelle will be part of it. The new video was filmed 2 weeks ago in Canada and Dandi was nice enough to send me a sneak peak of what it will be.....

And if you haven't heard of Dandi before, so much is said: Dandi Wind is a brilliant music project run by her since 2003, which was already featured in Dazed&Confused Magazine and more. Later on she started the project Fan Death- a European tour with Vampire Weekend followed.

I adore elder ladies- don't ask me why. I suppose it's their history, their realm of experience that surrounds them like an invisible curtain. And their, sometimes, mouth opening styling decisions. I don't mean that in a bad way- seeing grans like this one simply makes me smile and feel good. I had to capture her secretly as she brings on the brilliant combi of tartan and tie dye!!!
Ich bewundere ältere Damen- fragt mich nicht warum. Ich nehme an es ist ihre Geschichte, ihre Erfahrungswelt, die sie umgibt wie ein unsichtbarer Vorhang.Und ihre Stylingentscheidungen, die, manchmal, meine Lippen nach unten klappen lassen. Das ist nicht böse gemeint, Omas wie diese zu sehen entlocken mir ein Lächeln und ich fühle mich gut. Diese musste ich heimlich fotografieren, sie rockt den Schottenkaro vs. Batik Style einfach genial!

Along with well choosen items of labels such as Hartmann&Nordenholz you can now also view the new exhibit " We love popmusic" by Berlin based designer Friederike Hofmann, super chief illustrator of "we love you all"!
Now the funny 3 days of taking part in a craft workshop with kids are over and we have managed to create a big bunch of textiles squares with the kids. Soon we will finish it off to a wonderful big patchwork and hand it over to Designers against AIDS.
Emma Bell, Polona Dolzan, Scott Ramsay Kyle and Pebelle have been creating patches as well.
Commencing on July 19th "Fish and Chips Twice Please?!" will be hosting an array of features promoting AIDS/HIV awareness. On the programme are craft workshops for kids in co-operation with JEF, live knitting circles, special DAA film screening and of course a much anticipated presentation. The knitting and craft workshops offer kids and passers by the opportunity to contribute a square to add to a special patchwork we are creating to raise AIDS/HIV awareness which will be given to Designers Against AIDS (DAA) upon completion.
I am happy to announce that I participate tomorrow (Monday) during the workshop sessions with kids and will also create a PEBELLE square for the patchwork that will be donated to DAA.
DAA was founded in Belgium, and the internationally active project aims to reach young people through the media of fashion, celebrity, music and sport. Their initiative and work has been injected into worldwide media and has been featured in publications including; Vogue, i-D, ELLE, Cosmopolitan and Vanity Fair. Previous contributors and collaborations include H&M, Rihanna, Gareth Pugh, Bernhard Willhelm, Katy Perry and Jeremy Scott
